Learn to sing the choruses from Messiah with Dr. Angela Yeung starting in November and join in the chorus for the Messiah Sing-Along at the University of San Diego Founders Chapel on Dec. 14 and 15.

Sessions are 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. every Friday, Nov. 2 ? Dec. 7 at Incarnation Lutheran Church, 16889 Espola Road, Poway. Each session covers a chorus. Drop in to learn particular choruses, or come for each and every one. Bring your own score or borrow one at the session.

Youth Philharmonic Orchestra will open its season with a concert 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church, 17010 Pomerado Road. The North County Society of Fine Arts is holding a bus trip to the Getty Center Saturday, Oct. 27. Rancho Bernardo Art Association is looking for artists who want to meet others who share the same interest, learn from demonstrations and exhibit their work. Walk in the footpath of Poway?s first residents every Saturday morning at Poway?s Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretive Center. Savor the smell of blooming native plants that Kumeyaay people smelled each spring for more than 2,000 years. The 2012 Tournament of the Phoenix will take place Friday, October 26 through Sunday, Oct. 28 at the Poway Rodeo Grounds, 14336 Tierra Bonita Road, Poway. Six of the world?s foremost knights, hailing from the US, England, Canada and France,? will test the combatants? prowess and stamina as they pit themselves against each other in foot combat with axes, mounted melee, and four sessions of jousting.
