Innovator in Business Networking Joins i-CANADA Governors Council

Bryan Boyd of TeraGo will share experience of ?knowledge park? communications

February 20, 2013 - An overlooked and often underserved sector in Canada will now have an enhanced voice when TeraGo's President and CEO Bryan Boyd joins the i-CANADA Governors Council, said i-CANADA Chair Bill Hutchison.

"Bryan has specialized in creating communications networks for small and medium-sized knowledge-based enterprises. Our 'knowledge zones' are vital for differentiating our economy from the manufacturing-heavy economies of Asia; we need these businesses to be fast, flexible and well-networked. Bryan focusses on providing linkage solutions that are an alternative to mainstream communications providers; his approaches are innovative and creative."

"Maximizing broadband usage is often critical for businesses that are located in city zones that may not have super-fast connectivity,| stated Mr. Boyd. "If I can help communities by increasing the metabolism of their knowledge zones, I am happy to make a contribution to i-CANADA, and delighted to be joining the Governors Council."

The i-CANADA Governors Council is Chaired by New Brunswick Premier David Alward, and includes other Premiers, Mayors and CEOs. I-CANADA's goal is to create an Intelligent Nation, where each community is making full use of digital inclusion, ultra-broadband communications, and a rainbow of applications, to prosper with the higher employment and better living standards that are the hallmark of Intelligent Communities.
